    This position will work with Human Resources leadership to manage administration of compensation policies and processes including conducting position evaluations, evaluating job classifications, preparing job descriptions, and similar duties. This position will also monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance, maintain employee records and provide excellent customer service.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support manager in researching compensation and retirement plan issues and trends to ensure consistent application of policies and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
    • Manage day-to-day administrative and customer service related tasks for various qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
    • Manage quarterly pension plan audit and billing process.
    • Perform analysis for base and variable compensation, job evaluation and other related activities. This includes assessing proper coding for EEO, Worker’s Compensation and related job type fields; and researching market data and internal company data to establish appropriate compensation for new and existing positions.
    • Create and maintain various compensation plan documents including annual profit-sharing plans, commission plans, bonus plans, etc.
    • Assist with the administration of corporate bonus programs including calculation of profit sharing and long term incentive plans.
    • Manage documentation of employee status changes impacting compensation and compensation plans.
    • Manage divisional grade band and position charts and maintain compensation data in HRIS software.
    • Complete annual EEO-1 reporting.
    • Develop and maintain documentation on compensation processes and policies.
    • Monitor policies and procedures as well as communications with employees to ensure compliance with regulations governing compensation and benefit plans.
    • Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed employee records in database in a timely manner.
    • Develop and streamline processes for efficiency while ensuring positive employee experiences, consistency and compliance.
    • Assist with the processing of vendor invoices as needed.
    • Prepare reports and analytical data as needed.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
    • Perform various clerical functions such as filing, photocopying, faxing documents, sorting mail, etc.
    • Follow posted work schedule, and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements


    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required; Human Resouces or Finance degree preferred.
    • 1 or 2 years of experience in compensation or benefits administration required.
    • SPHR certification preferred.
    • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to develop accurate business and legal correspondence, detailed reports and communication materials.
    • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including the ability to establish credibility and trust with management, handle difficult situations with diplomacy and professionalism, and create and deliver presentations to benefits team and management.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gather and analyze information skillfully, exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
    • Strong accounting skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to document effectively.
    • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitoring own work to ensure quality.
    • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office products and ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards/EnterpriseOne.
    • Experience with human capital management software.
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
