Primary responsibility is to provide day to day gate-keeper assistance to all company employees requesting assistance from the IT Service Desk, but focused on the staff and systems located at the Moberly Business Support Campus facility. To provide first and second tier help desk support for user problems relating to basic hardware and software issues, with an emphasis on our drivers in the field using our Fuel Delivery system used in our trucks. Redistribute specialized or advanced requests to appropriate service desks or network operations team members as needed. Provide a repeatable and dependable process for all users to follow in establishing a service support request. This position specifically covers Tuesday through Saturday and is located at the Moberly Business Support campus in Moberly, MO.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Monitoring, answering, and responding to any company-wide IT service desk phone calls, emails and voicemails received.
  • Provide high-level of customer service to multiple levels of staff and management.
  • Act as a front-line Service Desk point of contact in the MBSC facility and provide a pleasant disposition to all users seeking IT support assistance.
  • Creation of electronic support tickets for all new end-user requests according to documented policies and procedures.
  • Direct and escalate 2nd and 3rd tier support requests to appropriate ITS personnel as required.
  • Provision, troubleshoot, and/or replace driver issued or truck installed equipment relating to the Fuel Delivery systems.
  • Install/upgrade PC’s and related peripherals, as well as related software applications for both local and remote users
  • Provide basic MS Office, Email, User Account, and Printing Issue troubleshooting for both local and remote users
  • Provide basic email and internet troubleshooting and training for all end users.
  • Provide end user account connectivity and resets for a variety of business applications.
  • Assist in basic network troubleshooting of cabling, wiring, routers, switches, and the like.
  • Interface with hardware/software vendors and support organizations in order to provide proper technical support to the company’s operations and employees.
  • Work along-side with any additional IT Service Desk technicians or IT staff located in Moberly’s Business Support Campus.
  • Know and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Follow posted work schedule, and adhere to proper procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, and vendors. Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science or technology related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including Laptops, Desktops, Tablets, & Smartphones.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing problems involving software, hardware or combination of the two.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
  • Great customer service skills and attitude, patience with others, a track record in developing good working relationships, but persistent in the pursuit of the goals/objectives.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Valid/current driver’s license.
  • Must meet Company requirements, including successful background and MVR check, and drug test.
  • Ensure that all systems are secured and that data integrity is maintained always.
  • Travel as needed, including possible overnights.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
