This position will include implementing HRIS projects such as I-9 verification and document imaging as well as maintaining the HRIS system’s transactional data.

Responsibilities

  • Implement special projects as assigned such as I-9 verification and document imaging.
  • Perform customer service functions through first tier phone support for employee requests and questions.
  • Assist in the planning, development, implementation, and measurement of the success of Human Resource Department projects in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate, track, and report on the progress work assignments and/or projects.
  • Maintain high levels of integrity, quality, accuracy, and usability of data.
  • Perform various clerical functions such as filing, photocopying, faxing documents, scanning, maintaining the department email box, sorting mail, etc.
  • Know and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Follow posted work schedule, and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, and customers. Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention.
  • Participate in and contribute to MFA Oil’s formalized internship program.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. College courses with emphasis on Human Resources.
  • A current student or May graduate of current year, majoring in Human Resources, IT field, or related field.
  • Preferred classes or experience in ERP systems, Human Resources or IT fields
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite to include Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent organizational and creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential
  • Able to perform detail work with accuracy and grasp new concepts quickly
